You would like to become self-employed

These are the main actions you need to take before starting your business:

• Registering with an official business counter (non-exhaustive list of counters in the Liège area) for subsequent registration in the Banque Carrefour des Entreprises:
  
  • Management certificate
  • Access to profession (for regulated professions)
     
• If starting a new business: submitting the bylaws to the registry of the commercial court of the place where your registered offices are located
   
• Opening a bank account (distinct from the private account for the self-employed who are "natural persons")
   
• Joining the social insurance fund  of your choice (within 90 days from commencing activities)
   
• Signing up with the mutual insurance company of your choice
